March 2026 - The Moon
This was a DIY project that I got from TikTok. I know thats not the greatest place for a new thing, but this one turned out pretty slick! I started with a clock that I found at goodwill - its 2 feet in diameter. I took the clock hands off, then covered it in plaster. When the plaster dried, I painted it, and put LED lights around the outside edge. Voila! A moon!

February 2026 - Corning! Carol Ann Savage class!
A trip to Corning is always so fun! This time, I took a class by Carol Ann Savage - her beads are incredibly detailed and labor intensive - and they are BEAUTIFUL!!! She is an amazing teacher. The process included making very detailed flower cane, then adding them to a bead. The teaching assistant for the week was Jordan Fitzgerald, who was a ton of fun to have class with, and also taught us a few new tricks in our free time - I learned more about implosions, and also h

January 2026 - BUBBLES!!
Angee got me several puffy mandrels for Christmas. If you don't know, I use mandrels to make glass beads. Usually the mandrels are solid sticks of stainless steel. The ones she gave me are hollow, with a small hole on one side near the end. It allows me to wrap molten glass around the hole, then blow through the tube to inflate the glass. Super fun - and I ended up making a bunch of them!

December 2025 - Wrapped Rocks
Similar to last month, I had a bunch of rocks laying around (as one has), and decided to take a try at doing rock wrapping. I used some leather and leather-like twine that I had laying around. The results look pretty cool. I added some glass beads to some of them.

November 2025 - Rock necklaces
As I was walking at the beach, I picked up a bunch of small rocks. I got the great idea to drill holes in them, and hang glass beads inside the rocks to make pendants out of them. I think they look pretty cool!

October 2025 - Pumpkins
In preparation for fall, since I didn't plant any pumpkins this year, I decided to make a couple. I made a glass stained glass pumpkin, and also a few wooden ones. I think they turned out great.

September 2025 - Blinging out a Bunny
This is a long term project, but I started it in September 2025. I was at GoodWill one day, and found this ugly paper mache bunny. I took it home and painted it white, then started adding beads and bling to it. Many of the items that I am putting on are glass beads that I made and maybe broke in half, or otherwise I am not using elsewhere. I will add more images when I am done.

April 2025 - Stained Glass Class
In April, I attended a stained glass class with several family members. Some of them had participated in the class before, and a few were determined to create a new and improved piece compared to their previous attempts. Little John joined for the first time and tackled a big project, while John remained focused. Overall, it was a success!
