Lady empty nester travelling the United States in a campervan exploring National Park Service properties, Historic Parks, Landmarks, and anything else. I enjoy telling you about my adventures and would like to hear yours too!
The kids and I went to Olympic National Park in 2008. It was just at the time that the Twilight books came out, and Stephanie and Angee were all about visiting the sites that were in the book. Olympic National Park is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The kids and I went to the Arch in 2008 - which was before it was listed as a National Park, but since it is one now, I will add the photos and such to this blog to document the visit. One notable occurrence during the trip was that Angee got pooped on by a bird. LOL! Never forgot that!
I took the kids to the Grand Canyon back in 2006. While we were there, we took an amazing whitewater rafting trip on the Colorado River. At the end of the day, we were airlifted to the top of the canyon in a helicopter! This area is the site of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
